Visual Arts Curriculum
Odyssey’s Art Program is an exciting and engaging part of our multisensory education. Art is recognized as one of the focal points of the integrated curriculum. Students with dyslexia tend to be highly visual learners who rely on all of their senses to best learn. Art gives our students an opportunity to unveil their talents and passions. Odyssey’s Art Program offers students the chance to use all their senses and abilities in order to process and learn information. Art projects are designed to enhance creative thinking, while building planning and organizational skills. At all levels, students are empowered to express themselves creatively.
Art class also provides a unique social experience for students, where they are able to interact, collaborate, and problem solve. Students create sculptures, paintings, pottery and mixed media works. Their art work is prominently displayed throughout the School and featured in art shows and publications.
