Dear Odyssey School Community,
I am excited to share an important update regarding the search for our new Head of School. After thoughtful consideration, we have engaged Carney, Sandoe & Associates (CSA) as the search firm to guide us through this crucial process. With their extensive experience and proven success in independent school leadership searches, we are confident they will help us find the right leader to guide The Odyssey School into the future.
Chris Boyle and Kim Peeples from CSA will serve as our lead consultants for the search. They will be visiting The Odyssey School on October 16 and 17 to meet with various groups within our community. More information regarding the meeting schedules will be sent in a separate communication.
Additionally, we have established a Search Committee that will work closely with CSA throughout the process. I am pleased to announce that Terri Smith will serve as chair of the committee, and the following members will join her:
- Suzy Riedel, Board Chair and past parent
- Michael Weinfeld, Co-Chair of the capital campaign, Trustee and past parent
- Crawford Hubbard, Chair of the Committee on Trustees, Trustee and past parent
- Chris Pope, honorary trustee and past parent
- Corey Paige, Trustee and Odyssey alumni
- Kevin McAllister, Trustee, member of the Investment Committee and past parent
- Cheryl Bernard-Smith, Trustee with Human Resources expertise and past parent
- Yael Allen, Trustee and current parent
- Janice Lepore, Doctor of Psychology and friend of Odyssey
This group brings a wealth of experience, diverse perspectives, and a deep commitment to our school community. Together, they will ensure that the search process is thoughtful, inclusive, and thorough.
