A Sweet Surprise: Dunkin’ Celebrates a Student's Kindness

A classroom assignment turned into an unforgettable moment for one Odyssey Middle School student—and the entire school community.
As part of a language project in Ms. Amy Metzger’s class, student Hazel wrote a letter of appreciation to her local Dunkin’ in Randallstown, thanking the staff for their exceptional service and for consistently remembering her and her brother’s order.
Moved by her thoughtful gesture, the Dunkin’ team surprised Hazel with a school visit featuring Sprinkles the mascot, free donuts for a year, and treats for the entire middle school.
We are so grateful to Dunkin’ for recognizing Hazel’s kindness and turning it into such a joyful moment for our community. It’s a wonderful reminder of how small acts of appreciation can make a big difference.
