North Garden Renamed "The Sweeney Garden"

If you ask Marty Sweeney about her favorite spot on campus, she’ll almost always say, “The North Garden.” 

It’s not just the beauty of the space that draws her in — it’s what takes place there each spring. It’s where our Windjammers celebrate the culmination of their Odyssey journey with heartfelt, thoughtful speeches, surrounded by their families and teachers.

That’s why, at this year’s graduation, it was only fitting that our Board Chair Suzy Reidel, trustee and Capital Campaign Co-Chair Michael Weinfeld, and Director of Development and Advancement Laurie TerBeek surprised Marty with a special announcement:

Thanks to the generosity of several donors, the North Garden will now be known as "The Sweeney Garden."

This space will serve as a lasting tribute to Marty’s leadership and all the lives she’s touched at Odyssey. Thank you, Marty, for everything.
