Odyssey Breaks Ground on Carroll Dryden Knott Center
New Academic Building Coming Winter 2027
Today marked an exciting moment in Odyssey's story. Students, teachers, board members, donors, partners, and friends gathered on campus this afternoon as we officially broke ground on the Carroll Dryden Knott Center—a new building that will expand opportunities for our students and grow our campus.

Designed to support the way Odyssey students learn best, the Carroll Dryden Knott Center will include:
- A welcoming dining and event space where our community can come together
- State-of-the-art science classrooms built for hands-on exploration and discovery
- Additional tutoring rooms where students can learn with confidence and safety of spirit
- A new hub for development and communications to amplify Odyssey’s mission
This project continues the bold vision of Odyssey’s founders—families and educators who believed that children with dyslexia deserve a school where they are uniquely understood, deeply valued, and empowered to thrive.
We are profoundly grateful to everyone in our community who made today possible. And we extend our deepest thanks to the Knott Family for their extraordinary $5 million matching gift, the largest in Odyssey’s history. Their leadership helped bring this dream to life.
Follow along as we share construction updates in the months ahead. What begins here changes everything, and the next chapter starts today.
