Free Language and Literacy Screening
There are no more free language and literacy screening appointments available in spring of 2023.
These screenings are ONLY available for children ages eight and younger.
Recognizing the compelling research that highlights the importance of early identification of students’ needs and the potency of early intervention, Odyssey seeks opportunities to identify students as young as four and five years old who are at risk for reading failure.

The Odyssey School offers free screening for early language and literacy skills and signs of reading difficulty. Odyssey uses highly trained, certified and experienced professionals to provide this free service to children who are four to eight years of age.
If your child demonstrates difficulty with acquiring reading and literacy skills and shows early signs of reading difficulty, please set up an appointment for screening.
The screening can indicate whether a child is exhibiting specific difficulties in reading and language development. General recommendations and information regarding early warning signs will be provided for parents.
Free Screenings take place during the months of January, February, March, and April.
Our professional staff of speech and language pathologists and reading specialists provide free screenings to preschool and school aged children. For more information, contact Maureen Galli at mgalli@theodysseyschool.org
