The Mission of the Odyssey Outreach Program is to extend beyond the walls of Odyssey the School’s expertise in dyslexia education and its compassion for children with language learning differences.
The Program is focused on the following goals:
- To increase awareness of dyslexia and related language learning differences in the greater community.
- To facilitate the early identification of children at risk for language learning differences.
- To support on-going research into the most effective teaching methods for children with language learning differences.
- To provide training and professional development in best practices in the field of dyslexic education.
What begins here changes everything. Odyssey is dedicated to changing the lives of students impacted by language learning differences.
Committed to developing lifelong learning in parents, teachers, and those in the greater community in the area of language learning differences, Odyssey provides a variety of presentations, professional development and workshops to professionals and parents.
The School also provides early identification screening and partners with numerous professionals and organizations to increase dyslexia awareness in the greater community.
Research, internships, tutoring, evaluations, and sharing of expertise are some of the many ongoing efforts and initiatives with these organizations.
